Courses

I regularly hold workshops and courses on Baroque music with period or modern instruments: for the latter I provide Baroque bows. A typical short workshop consists of three days of rehearsals, classes and coaching with an informal presentation at the end. Longer courses generally lead to formal concerts: I have held these with the students of The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, The Institute of Superior Arts in Havana, Cuba, and at The University of Alberta in Canada. I have held ‘Initiation into Baroque Music’ courses in Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt in Oslo, in the Conservatory in Lima, Peru, in the Conservatory of Bratislava, Slovakia, and as part of the Early Music Festivals in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway. I was for some years the Musical Director of Linden Baroque, an amateur Baroque orchestra in London, with whom I recorded a CD of music by Fasch.
